WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
It's known for being a super hydrating agent. It has an enormous ability to bind to water molecules, retaining them and preventing their loss. Each single molecule of hyaluronic acid can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water.
WHERE DOES HYALURONIC ACID COME FROM?
It is normally produced (in the skin) by a group of cells present in our skin: fibroblasts. From the earliest years of life, fibroblasts ensure we receive this important resource, but their production begins to slow before age 30, steadily decreasing over the years. Its deficiency causes a loss of elasticity, consistency, and turgidity of the tissues (dermis), resulting in damage to them and, consequently, skin aging.
